A major national trade show for painting and decorating professionals has reached a milestone 20th year at Coventry Building Society Arena.
The National Painting and Decorating Show was one of the first shows held at Coventry Building Society Arena when it opened its doors in 2005.
The trade show, which is the biggest show for painting and decorating professionals in the UK, has seen significant growth since first being held at the venue – attracting more than 3,000 visitors and continuing to expand its exhibitor numbers.
It is a two-day event which provides a window into the latest products, innovations and practices for professionals in the sector.
The 2024 show attracted over 100 leading UK and international manufacturers, representing thousands of brands.
Dates have already been confirmed for the 21st edition of the show at Coventry Building Society Arena, with the show set to return on 18 and 19 November 2025.
Terry Dullaway, event organiser and founder of the National Painting and Decorating Show, said: “We have been taking place at the Coventry Building Society Arena for two decades and it’s great to have reached that milestone.
“We have been getting an increasing amount of interest from overseas visitors too, who have been joining us in greater numbers as exhibitors, and that was a clear growth area for the show this year.
“While this our 20th year here in the city, as a show we have actually now celebrated our 30th year. We had hosted the show at a number of venues around the country prior to coming here to Coventry.
“We keep coming back here because it is a user-friendly venue for exhibiting and it has excellent on-site facilities, such as hotels and restaurants. But importantly, Coventry Building Society Arena is in a central location and our visitors from all over the UK can very easily get to the show.”
It is the first major conference or exhibition to reach the 20-year milestone at Coventry Building Society Arena, with the venue getting ready to celebrate its 20th birthday in 2025.
The National Painting and Decorating Show takes place in the venue’s flexible 6,000 sqm Exhibition Halls.

“We have hosted a wide range of incredible events over the years, but throughout the last two decades this show has been a mainstay in our calendar. It has been fantastic to see the event grow and develop.”
